COSMOS (COSMetic Organic and Natural Standard) on yhtenäinen standardi luonnonkosmetiikalle. COSMOS Organic — tuotteille, jotka sisältävät korkean osuuden luonnonmukaisia ainesosia. COSMOS Natural — tuotteille, jotka noudattavat tiukkoja luonnonmukaisten ainesosien ohjeita.

COSMOS-standardi kattaa koko kosmetiikkatuotteen elinkaaren raaka-aineiden hankinnasta valmistukseen, pakkaukseen ja merkintöihin varmistaen, että ne ovat ympäristöystävällisiä ja turvallisia kuluttajille.
COSMOS NATURAL
To obtain the COSMOS Natural label, all ingredients in the products must be of natural origin, with the exception of a limited list of approved ingredients (including preservatives), which are allowed in small quantities. ECOCERT certified products contain on average 99% ingredients of natural origin. The majority of self-branded face, hair and body care products are Natural certified.
All categories of facial care products are Natural certified. Starting with cleansing, such products include the Brightening Gel and Cleansing Mousse. The next step – toning – can be done with the Hydrating Toner or the Purifying Toner.
More targeted products, such as Hydrating Serum, Calming Eye Cream, Smoothing Eye Cream, Brightening Eye Cream, Caffeine Gel Booster, and Antioxidant Ginkgo Gel Booster, are also all-natural.
Natural moisturizers include hydrating day cream, lightweight hydrating day cream, anti-aging day cream, nourishing rich cream, and oil-free moisturizing gel.
Applying SPF30 sunscreen and BB cream as the final steps of facial care is also part of a natural skin care ritual.
Hair care products, such as Moisturising Shampoo, Nourish and Volumise Shampoo and Moisturising Conditioner, are also Natural certified.
Body care products with the Natural label include: Moisturising Body Lotion, Hydrating Body Wash, Hydrating Hand Cream and all types of hand and body washes.

COSMOS ORGANIC

A skincare product is only COSMOS Organic certified if at least 95% of the botanicals it contains are organic and at least 20% of the organic ingredients are in the total formula (10% excluding rinse-off products). Please note that water or minerals are not considered “organic” as they do not come from agriculture.
Currently, four products from the Omanimälta catalog are Organic certified. They are:
  • Gentle cleansing milk
  • Micellar Cleansing Water
  • Nourishing facial oil
  • CBD Oil Booster
